a slight but startled chuckle escapes mihra, her brows raising at the other’s fast reaction. an alarming reaction from the inquisitors point of view, but a good, quick reaction should it have been required.
she wonders what could cause him such alarm. they may live in dangerous times, sure, but a step in the morning was hardly a threat inside the gates of skyhold. –or perhaps mihra simply wasn’t on her guard quite enough.
“sorry to startle you, krem. i must say, i didn’t expect anyone else to up here yet either. —enjoying the morning?”
he allows himself to relax, resting his hip against the battlements. ❛ sorry to startle you, inquisitor. ❜ he supposes it would be alarming, to come up on someone and nearly have them draw a weapon on you.
a little smile crosses his face and he turns his gaze to the landscape on the far side of the wall. a stunning vista that never fails to take his breath away. snow crusted mountains, pale blue sky, soft wisps of clouds–
❛ it’s lovely, ❜ he says, just loud enough to be heard over the wind. ❛ i come here to think a lot. the cold air does wonders for a tired mind. ❜ his eyes turn back to her, one eyebrow raised inquisitively. ❛ what calls you up here so early?? ❜
@fadeflower liked for a KREM starter
warm sunlight touches krem’s cheeks and he tips his face into it, breathing deep the cold mountain air. it wakes him like nothing else can, the warmth on his skin and the chill in his lungs.
a soft step behind him jolts him out of his reverie and he whirls, hand going to the knife on his belt before he realizes who stands some feet away from him.
❛ ah, your worship. i didn’t think anyone else would be up here this early. ❜
